South Park Mexican, born Carlos Coy on October 5, 1970, is an American rapper and songwriter known for his significant contributions to Chicano rap. Emerging in the mid-1990s, he gained prominence within the genre for his storytelling and exploration of Mexican-American culture, often blending elements of Southern hip hop with Latin influences. His debut album, *Hillwood*, released in 1995, featured notable tracks like "Where You From?" and established him as a key figure in the underground rap scene. His 1999 album, *The 3rd Wish: To Rock the World*, included hits such as "La Cosa Nostra" and further solidified his reputation. South Park Mexican's music often addresses themes of identity, family, and the struggles faced by the Latino community in America. Despite his success, Coy's career faced challenges, including a 2002 conviction for aggravated sexual assault, which led to a lengthy prison sentence.
